Emily Ward has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Emily began their career as an Acute Medicine Pharmacist at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2010. Emily then worked at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where they held various roles including Acute Medicine Pharmacist, Senior Pharmacist for Medicine, and Lead Directorate Pharmacist for Medicine and Research. During this time, they also worked as a Project Manager and a Research and Development Secondee at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. In 2016, Emily joined NIHR CLAHRC NWL as an Improvement Leader Fellow. Emily later became an NHS Digital Pioneer Fellow at Digital Health London in 2019. Most recently, Emily joined UCLPartners as a Clinical Lead, Pharmacy in 2023. Additionally, they have been a Q community member at The Health Foundation since 2020.
Emily Ward completed their Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) degree at The University of Queensland from 1999 to 2002. Emily then pursued a PG Cert in Clinical Pharmacy at UCL from 2007 to 2009. Later, from 2012 to 2013, Emily attended UCL again to complete their Msc Advanced Pharmacy Practice degree, focusing on research, leadership, management, and education.
