Strategic Communications Manager - Improving health and care policy at The Health Foundation

Frances Kirk has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Frances began their career in 1999 as an Office Manager/PA at City Interface Ltd. Frances then moved on to Clear Channel Outdoor, where they served as a Development Manager/Executive/Assistant, responsible for account management and maximizing sales revenue.

In 2003, Frances joined the UCL Institute of Education as a Marketing Officer, a role they held until 2006. Frances then joined The National Lottery Community Fund, starting as a Marketing Manager and eventually becoming a Senior Marketing Manager, leading cross-functional teams and delivering strategic objectives through public-facing campaigns, market research projects, and content development.

Frances continued their career at The Health Foundation, where they held multiple roles. Frances began as a Marketing and Communications Manager for the Q Community, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and storytelling initiatives. Frances then transitioned to a Senior Stakeholder and Communications Manager role, and later became a Communications and Stakeholder Manager for the Shaping Health Futures program and Policy team. In their most recent role at The Health Foundation, Frances serves as a Strategic Communications Manager for the improving health and care policy strategy, leading integrated communications strategies and managing a variety of activities to achieve strategic objectives.

Frances Kirk has a diverse education history. Frances began their studies at The University of Manchester from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained a BA(Econ) 2.1 degree in Government and Social Policy. In 2000 to 2001, they attended Martran College in London, earning a CAM Advanced Diploma in Communication Studies. Frances then pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration at The Open University from 2008 to 2009, achieving a Merit. Frances later enrolled in Digital Mums in 2017 to 2018, specializing in Social Media Management.

In addition to their formal education, Frances has also acquired several certifications. In 2016, they obtained a Prince2 Foundation certification from Knowledge Train. In 2014, they completed the Google Analytics Essentials course offered by Happy Ltd. In 2013, they gained expertise in Producing Compelling Podcasts through sounddelivery. Furthermore, they obtained additional certifications in Ebulletins from dotmailer in 2012 and Complete Digital Marketing from The Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM) in 2008.
