Michael Spence

Michael Spence is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in health care and management. Currently serving as Senior Programme Lead and Programme Manager at NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Greater Manchester since October 2019, Michael has also been a founding cohort member of the Q programme at The Health Foundation since June 2015, contributing to quality improvement across the UK. Previously, Michael was a Programme Manager and Knowledge Transfer Associate at NIHR CLAHRC Greater Manchester, focusing on mental health implementation programs. Early career experiences include roles at Majestic Wine and Enterprise Rent-A-Car, where managerial and promotional skills were developed. Michael holds multiple degrees from The University of Manchester, including an MPhil in Business and Management, and several certifications in project and programme management.
