George Kinzfogl, MD, currently serves as Chief of Cardiology at MetroWest Medical Center, leading efforts to enhance healthcare delivery and patient care. In addition to this role, George is Chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, overseeing medication evaluation and formulary recommendations, and is the Director of Cardiac MRI and Echocardiography. George also contributes to clinical research as Director of Clinical Research, focusing on critical areas such as acute coronary syndromes and the effects of COVID-19 on heart health. As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Tufts Medical Center, George previously taught at Harvard Medical School and directed cardiology fellowship rotations. With extensive training in interventional and cardiovascular procedures and board certifications, George Kinzfogl brings over two decades of expertise to the field of cardiology.

The Heart Center of MetroWest provides comprehensive cardiovascular care for the MetroWest community. We are a large single-specialty cardiology practice dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate, state-of-the-art cardiovascular care for our patients. Our patient care philosophy is patient-centered, scientifically driven, cost-effective care. We are a 501c3 affiliate of Tufts Medical Center's Cardiovascular Center, and we provide inpatient care at MetroWest Medical Center. We offer a comprehensive cardiac care for inpatients and outpatients at our three office locations in Framingham, Natick, and Medway; at both campuses of MetroWest Medical Center (Framingham Union Hospital and Leonard Morse Hospital); and at Tufts Medical Center. Specific services available include: Inpatient and outpatient Cardiology consultation for evaluation and management of heart and vascular disease; diagnostic coronary angiography and cardiac catheterization, primary and elective coronary interventions plus peripheral vascular interventions; state of the art cardiac electrophysiology program including mapping and ablation, pacemakers, defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization therapy; inpatient electrocardiography and outpatient mobile electrocardiography laboratories; advanced cardiac imaging with comprehensive adult echocardiography including transesophageal echocardiography, gated SPECT nuclear cardiology laboratory, cardiac MRI program, and coronary CT calcium scoring; preventive cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation. We have an integrated Program with Tufts Medical Center for the care of patients referred for: Cardiac Surgery, and advanced heart failure/cardiac transplantation.
