Jamile Ashmore has a diverse work experience in the field of psychology and healthcare. Jamile currently serves as the Medical Director, Division of Medical Psychology at The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano. Prior to this, they held positions at the American Psychological Association, including serving on the Healthcare Finance Advisory Group and the Advisory Steering Committee for Clinical Practice Guidelines. Jamile was also a Clinical Associate Professor at Southern Methodist University for over 15 years. Later on, they earned a Master's degree in Health/Medical Psychology from the University of the Pacific.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Jamile holds certifications as a Board Certified Specialist in Clinical Health Psychology from the AMERICAN BOARD OF PROFESSIONAL PSYCHOLOGY and as a Licensed Psychologist from the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
