Susan Pearson is a mathematics teacher at The Heathland School since July 2022 and previously completed a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics at the University of Roehampton from September 2021 to July 2022. Prior to transitioning to education, Susan held various engineering roles at BP from January 1990 to January 2021, including Challenge and Excellence Manager for Subsurface and Wells and Lead Reservoir Engineer for the Angola Block 17 Joint Venture. Key contributions included strategic research, reserves evaluation enhancements, and optimization studies to increase asset value. Susan also served as a Senior Reservoir Engineer across multiple international locations, effectively addressing drilling and production challenges. Susan holds a BSc in Physics from Brunel University of London, obtained between 1985 and 1990.

The Heathland School is an 11-18 Co-educational Community Comprehensive School. As an academic comprehensive school, The Heathland School provides a broad general education for girls and boys in an environment of high achievement.
