Jacky Zhan

Jacky ZHAN is an experienced professional in data science and engineering, currently serving as the Senior Manager of Racing Data Science at The Hong Kong Jockey Club since December 2023. Prior to this role, ZHAN held positions at Cathay Pacific Airways from February 2019 to December 2023, initially as a Data Scientist and later advancing to Lead Data Scientist. ZHAN's earlier experience includes a tenure as a Senior Engineer at ASTRI and an academic background as both a Postdoctoral Researcher and PhD Student at The Chinese University of Hong Kong's Department of Information Engineering. ZHAN earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Information Engineering from the same institution, supplemented by an exchange program in Computer Science at Penn State University in 2010.
