Weiyin Hong is an accomplished academic in the field of Information Systems, currently serving as an Associate Professor and Adjunct Associate Professor at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology since July 2011. Prior to this role, Weiyin held various positions at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, including Emeritus Associate Professor and Associate Professor since August 2007, and Assistant Professor from January 2001 to June 2007. Weiyin obtained a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in December 2001, following a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Fudan University in June 1997.
