Bradley Newcomer

Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer at The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi

Bradley Newcomer has an extensive work experience in academic leadership and administration. Bradley is currently serving as the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer at The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi since January 2022. Prior to this role, they held various positions at James Madison University from 2015 to 2022, including Founding Dean of The Honors College, Professor of Physics, and Director of the Honors Program. Before that, they worked at The University of Alabama at Birmingham from 1996 to 2015, where they held several roles such as Founding Director of the B.S. in Biomedical Sciences Program, Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Honors and Research, Professor, Associate Dean for Honors, Director of the Global and Community Leadership Honors Program, and Founding Director of the Experiential Learning Scholars Program.

Bradley Newcomer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Juniata College, where they attended from 1984 to 1988. Bradley then pursued a Master of Science degree in Physics at Wright State University from 1988 to 1991. Following that, they earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Wright State University between 1991 and 1996. Lastly, Bradley completed their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, attending from 2011 to 2015.
