Deesha Dyer

Deesha Dyer currently serves as a Board Member for The Humane Society of the United States, focusing on animal welfare. As the Founder and CEO of Hook & Fasten, a social impact consulting firm, Dyer specializes in creating partnerships between communities and corporations to drive authentic and impactful initiatives. Dyer is also a Co-founder and Executive Director (Volunteer) of beGirl.world, an organization that empowers teenage girls through global education and travel. Previous roles include serving as a Resident Fellow at the Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School, a board member for SIECUS, and various positions at the Ford Foundation, culminating in roles as Senior Advisor and Acting Chief of Staff. Dyer has extensive experience in the White House, holding multiple positions from Special Assistant to the President to Deputy Social Secretary. Educational background includes studies in Women and Gender Studies at the Community College of Philadelphia and the University of Cincinnati.
