Yolanda Berkowitz is the founder and president of Friends of Miami Animals Foundation, a nonprofit working to help save and improve the lives of homeless and at-risk pets in Miami-Dade County. She joined the HSUS Board of Directors in 2021 and serves on the Human Resources committee.
Berkowitz, a resident of Miami, also serves on the board of the Miami Foundation, and has dedicated more than 20 years to the Guardian Ad Litem Program and Voices For Children Foundation as a volunteer.
She is passionate about offering her time, talents and resources to civic and social causes. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and their many pets! She particularly enjoys spending summers with family and friends in Maine.
