Lara Steele

Lara Steele will serve as the Director of Human Resources and Talent Management, bringing over a decade of diverse human resource management experience to the team. Before joining The Hunt Institute, Lara served as a strategic executive cabinet member with the North Carolina League of Municipalities where she oversaw all human resource department initiatives, and implemented human resources best practices across the organization.

Lara’s dedication to service has seen her providing operational support to leaders at non-profit and private sector organizations in the areas of organizational development, benefits administration, and labor relations; thus helping them to reach their strategic goals. A former early childhood educator for the Leo Yassenoff Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus, Lara is passionate about youth advocacy and has established employment policies and practices within organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in both North Carolina and her hometown of Columbus, Ohio.
