Emily Spatz is a dedicated and experienced journalism student at Northeastern University, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Political Science. Currently serving as a Research Assistant for the Internet Democracy Initiative, Emily also holds the position of Campus Editor at The Huntington News, where responsibilities include managing staff writers, fact-checking, and collaborating with university media. Previous roles include Deputy Campus Editor and Student Government Beat Writer, along with experience as a Vote Entry Operator at The Associated Press and various editorial roles at Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Williamson Herald. Emily's early leadership experience includes serving as Editor-in-Chief for Centennial High School's yearbook and News Editor for Mills College's student newspaper.
