Oleguer Plantalech Casals

Oleguer Plantalech Casals is a data scientist at The Hyve, a position held since 2016. Prior to this, Oleguer served as a basketball table official for the Federació Catalana de Basquetbol from September 2010 to June 2014, managing scorekeeping and possession time control. Oleguer also coordinated web and social media services for Club de Bàsquet Garrotxa Santjoanenc during the same period, focusing on the club's blog and social media presence. In a research capacity, Oleguer assisted a doctorate student at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, working with ancient DNA techniques in mid-2013. Oleguer holds a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from Wageningen University & Research and a Bachelor's degree in Genetics from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
