Anthea Platt Sc

Anthea Platt SC serves as the Chairperson of the Disciplinary Committee at the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors since July 2021. Since September 2020, Anthea has been a Co-Founder of Basadi Ba Molao Education and Training Services (Pty) Ltd, focused on empowering women through education and training in the legal profession. Anthea also founded Basadi Ba Molao, a network for professional women in the legal field, in March 2019, and has been a Panelist at the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa since 2011. As an Advocate at the Johannesburg Bar since December 2002, Anthea holds multiple roles including Tax Board Chairperson at the South African Revenue Service and Advocacy Trainer within the Johannesburg Bar Council. Educational background includes an LLM in Transnational Commercial Practice from the Center for International Legal Studies and a Bachelor of Commerce and LLB from the University of the Western Cape.
