Al Brown

Al Brown is a seasoned media executive currently serving as the Head of Content & Programming at The Independent since March 2024. Previously, Al held the position of Vice President of Content Strategy at Future from March 2021 to March 2024, where responsibilities included creating content for a vast audience across multiple platforms. Al also worked as Executive Producer for True Stories at Barcroft Studios, leading the production of over 100 original factual programs for Channel 4. With a robust background at VICE Media, Al contributed as Vice President of TV & Film and led significant programming initiatives. Additional experience includes roles as a creative consultant and producer across various prominent organizations, ranging from VIRTUE Worldwide to a successful freelance career. Al's educational foundation includes studies at Wimbledon School of Art and the University of the Arts London.
