Sonal Hayat

Sonal Hayat currently serves as the Asia Audience Lead at The Independent since May 2021. Previously, Sonal held positions such as Deputy Audience Manager at HT Digital Streams and Audience Editor and Social Media Editor at Scroll Media. Additionally, Sonal worked as a Social Media Manager and Senior Copy Editor at Times Internet, where management of blogs for The Times of India was also part of the responsibility. Sonal's education includes a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from Times School of Journalism, a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from Delhi University, and a recent online course in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from Coursera.
