The Indigo Road hospitality group was founded in Charleston, SC, in 2009 by managing partner Steve Palmer. Voted #1 city in the United States by Conde Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure, Charleston is the perfect location for several of the company’s top restaurants including The Cocktail Club, Indaco, Oak Steakhouse The DIME, Kingstide, and O-Ku. Each restaurant has opened to great praise and has received national accolades in renowned publications including Bon Appetit, Esquire, Garden & Gun, Saveur, Southern Living, The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and Every Day with Rachael Ray, to name a few.  

Established in 2009 by the visionary Steve Palmer, The Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG) is a prominent player in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to excellence. Our core principle of serving with passion and creating unforgettable experiences for all underpins everything we do.

In 2019, IRHG celebrated its 10th anniversary by earning recognition as a Forbes Small Giant and securing a place on the prestigious Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies list. In 2020, we proudly welcomed seasoned hotelier Larry Spelts as a partner and president of our foray into lodging, with a focus on food and beverage-driven boutique hotels.

As of May 2022, IRHG boasts three fully operational hotels, three acquisitions under contract, and four active development projects set to open their doors from early 2023 through 2024. By mid-2024, we are poised to have seven operational hotels.

In addition, our presence spans more than two dozen restaurants across eight dynamic cities.
