John Runciman

John Runciman is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Testing Team Lead at TAQA, where responsibilities include supporting Taqa Drilling Solutions product teams in the validation and enhancement of tools and technologies and managing the Edmonton test facility. Previously, John worked at C-FER Technologies as a Research Engineer, Drilling and Completions, focusing on full-scale testing of completion technologies and developing well integrity software applications, alongside delivering courses and co-authoring two SPE conference papers. Early career roles included Engineering Co-op positions at C-FER Technologies and an Engineering Technician role at Almor Testing Services Ltd., where quality control was performed on materials for the construction industry. John holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with Distinction from the University of Alberta.
