Yvonne Eisner

Co-Regional Director, Clinical Services, The Bronx & Clinical Director, Walton Family Health Center at The Institute for Family Health

Yvonne Eisner is one of the Institute’s founders, and currently serves as clinical director of Walton Family Health Center in the Bronx. In this role, Ms. Eisner is responsible for providing leadership in the areas of clinical quality assurance, personnel development, equipment and supply acquisition, and facility development. She also serves as regional director with Eric Gayle, MD for the Institute’s four health centers in the Bronx.

Ms. Eisner has a professional interest in the development of the family physician/nurse practitioner team model at practice sites. In 1996, Ms. Eisner was one of 10 advanced practice nurses nationally who received the first Pfizer/APNSCAN Award for Exceptional Contributions to Health Care. The award honors her achievements in bringing advanced practice nursing into the forefront of health care in many of New York City’s most underserved communities.

Ms. Eisner holds a Masters of Science from the Pace University Lienhard School of Nursing, where she formerly served on the clinical faculty. She also holds a BA degree in physiology from Cornell University.
