Lara Young

Lara Young is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) roles within the engineering and construction sectors. Currently serving as a member of the ICE Professionalism Panel and the Decarbonisation Community Advisory Board at the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), Lara actively contributes to industry dialogue on climate issues. As Chair of the Carbon Champion Review Panel, Lara promotes initiatives aimed at achieving net zero carbon. Additionally, Lara holds positions on various advisory boards, including the ESG Editorial Advisory Board for BE News and as a board member for the Society for the Environment. Previously, Lara has served as the Global Head of ESG at Cromwell Property Group and as Group Climate Change Director at Costain Group PLC. Lara's educational background includes multiple advanced degrees in environmental management and biology from reputable institutions such as the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, and La Rochelle International Business School.
