Sarah McConnell MCIPD has over 20 years of work experience in human resources and labor negotiations. Sarah is currently the Head of Human Resources at The Institution of Structural Engineers, a position they started in August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the HR Manager at the Transport Salaried Staffs Association (TSSA Union) from 2005 to 2021. Before that, they served as a Negotiations Officer and Organiser at TSSA Union from 1999 to 2005.

Sarah McConnell MCIPD has a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from London Metropolitan University, a Master of Arts degree in Social Anthropology from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a BA Hons degree in Combined Community and Race Relations and African/Asian Studies from Lancaster University. Sarah also holds additional certifications in Workplace Mediation from Acas, MCIPD from CIPD Qualifications, and Trade Union Leadership from Harvard Law School and TUC.
