Eric Hillerbrand has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Eric is currently the Co-Founder of EmbarkNow, a role they have held since January 2021. Prior to that, they served as the CEO of The Intelligence Exchange from July 2017 onwards, where they focused on connecting and streamlining disrupted supply chains using innovative software.
In 2016, Hillerbrand co-founded SwitchboardX, an innovative search platform that uses AI to help analysts discover new data sources. Eric also served as the Co-Founder of The Mall Cloud from September 2017 to December 2018, where they delivered omni-retailer intelligence to empower retailers in the ecommerce-focused retail environment.
Before this, between October 2014 and July 2017, Hillerbrand founded knowledgeGRIDS, a Big Data analytics consultancy that used advanced analytics to help retailers benefit from real-time personalization and engagement. Eric also founded Talk3 in 2009, where they worked as the CEO and focused on organizing and personalizing vast amounts of internet information.
Hillerbrand's earlier experience includes being the VP of Social Commerce at Sears Holding Company from November 2007 to 2009, where they worked on next-generation ecommerce solutions. Prior to that, they were the Chief Operating Officer at McGraw Software from September 2005 to August 2007. Eric also worked as the Principal at Nimble Media from May 2003 to September 2005 and as the Chief Knowledge Officer/CTO at EnLeague Systems from January 2001 to May 2003.
Eric Hillerbrand earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Colgate University, where they studied from 1977 to 1981. Eric later pursued a Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of Iowa, completing their studies from 1983 to 1988.
