Rufat Abbasov

Rufat Abbasov holds extensive experience in the banking sector, currently serving as a Member of the Supervisory Board at The International Leasing Company and as Head of Retail Banking at The International Bank of Azerbaijan since June 2020. Previously, Rufat was the Deputy CEO and a member of the Executive Board at Bank "BTB" OJSC from May 2012 to June 2020, where responsibility included chairing the Credit Committee. Early career achievements involved directing multiple branches at Bank of Baku, notably managing the Ahmedly Branch and leading it to become the most competitive in the area. Rufat's educational background includes a Master of Business Administration in Operations Management from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University and a Bachelor's degree from Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, along with a professional qualification in Banking and Finance from Araz Ecology College.
