Leonardo Collina

Leonardo Collina is a Junior Modeller at the International Energy Agency (IEA) since September 2022, specializing in modeling the industrial sector within the Global Energy and Climate Model and analyzing decarbonization scenarios. Prior to this position, Leonardo served as an Analyst Intern at IEA from March to July 2022, focusing on the development cycle of the industry sector, particularly in chemicals. Leonardo’s early experience includes an academic tutoring role at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna and a student internship at YKK MEDITERRANEO SPA, where a study of a newly installed trigenerative system was conducted. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in energy engineering from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, with additional studies in energy systems modeling at University College Cork and sustainable energy systems at Chalmers University of Technology, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in energy engineering from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna and a scientific high school diploma from liceo scientifico A. Orsini Ascoli Piceno.
