Aynul Islam

Aynul Islam is a seasoned academic and consultant with extensive experience in teaching, research, and civic engagement. Currently serving as a Senior Consultant in Civic and Youth Engagement at The International Foundation for Electoral Systems since May 2024, Aynul also holds the position of Associate Professor at the University of Dhaka since December 2018. Furthermore, Aynul serves as the Program Director at the Microgovernance Research Initiative and as the National Moderator at SAVE Youth Bangladesh, alongside a long-standing role as Lead Analyst for Political Violence Monitoring. Prior experience includes positions at the Dangerous Speech Project as Bangladesh Lead Analyst and various academic roles at the University of Dhaka, Jagannath University, and Ghent University. Aynul's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Governance and Development from the University of Antwerp, alongside multiple post-graduate diplomas in relevant fields from esteemed institutions.
