Fares Bouloudani is an experienced professional in capacity building, leadership, and engineering, currently serving as a Programme Assistant at The International Institute for Justice and the Rule of Law since January 2024. Prior roles include Administrator II at the University of Malta and Local Engagement Coordinator for the TechGirls Programme at Legacy International. Fares has contributed significantly to various leadership and advocacy initiatives, including participation in The Swedish Institute's Advocacy Lab and SI Leader Lab, aimed at promoting sustainable development and peace. With a strong technical background, Fares began a career as a Process Engineer at Sonatrach and founded the Sustainable Youth Development Association. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Diplomacy from the University of Malta and multiple engineering degrees, culminating in a solid foundation for driving impactful community and organizational initiatives.

The International Institute for Justice and the Rule of Law (IIJ)

It is the mission of the IIJ to enhance the competencies of lawmakers, police, prosecutors, judges, corrections officials, and other justice sector stakeholders on how to address terrorism and related transnational criminal activities within a rule of law framework. The IIJ is promoting co-operation and information exchange among relevant authorities on a national, regional and international basis placing particular focus on countries seeking to develop rule of law-based approaches to addressing security challenges.
