Katrina King Nicholson

Flute Instructor at International School of Music

Katrina King Nicholson is an accomplished flutist and educator with extensive experience in music instruction. Currently, Katrina serves as a Flute Instructor at the International School of Music and the Sharyn Byer Institute of Fine Arts, while also teaching at the Workhouse Arts Center. Since 2009, Katrina has been a self-employed freelance flutist. Prior to these roles, Katrina was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Shenandoah Conservatory, where responsibilities included assisting with music theory and history courses and performing with the faculty woodwind quintet. Katrina's educational background includes a Doctor of Musical Arts in Flute Performance from Shenandoah University and dual degrees in Flute Performance and Music Theory, along with Early Music Performers' Certificates from the Cleveland Institute of Music.
