Christina Capadona-Schmitz is a marketing communications leader with nearly two decades of professional experience in the field. With a background and early career experiences in PR, advertising, marketing and journalism, today she blends a strategic mix of emerging media, digital technologies, and sales and client experience.

Schmitz is Chief Marketing Officer for Oswald Companies, one of the nation’s largest independent insurance brokerage and risk management firms. She manages the marketing team and design specialists, and directs the strategy and execution of corporate-wide efforts, including: business units, specialty divisions, regional market offices, corporate communications, employee engagement, strategic planning, DE&I, and community relations. She is the founder of OswaldCLIMBS, Oswald’s Young Professional organization and an alumni member and advisor to the Oswald Women’s Leadership Council. She also serves on the Assurex Global Brand Committee and as a Marketing Working Group member of the The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers (CIAB).

She serves on the Board of Directors for the West Side Catholic Center Cleveland, a social services agency that provides hot meals, hospitality, clothing and household goods, emergency services, advocacy, a family shelter, housing solutions, and workforce development training among other critical community services. She has also previously served on the Board of Directors for the Insurance Industry Charitable Fund (IICF) Ohio Chapter and on the Safe Sleep Heroes committee of First Year Cleveland, Cuyahoga County’s initiative to mobilize the community through partnerships and a unified strategy to reduce infant deaths including racial disparities.

Additionally, she has special interests in supporting professionals at all stages of their careers, development and entrepreneurship, with an emphasis on women’s leadership, including: promotion of talents and businesses within communities, protection and reputation management through advancement, and the progression and journey of individuals into leadership.
