Kate Powell

Kate Powell, CFA, currently serves as Managing Director at The James Irvine Foundation, focusing on public equity and hedge funds since September 2025. Previously, Kate held the position of Associate Director at The David and Lucile Packard Foundation from July 2016 to August 2025, where responsibilities included marketables, biotech, real estate, and crypto investments. Earlier experience includes an MBA Summer Associate role at the University of Pennsylvania's Office of Investments, concentrating on real estate and private equity manager due diligence, and a Senior Analyst position at The Investment Fund for Foundations, emphasizing investment research and hedge fund analysis.
