Luisa Montes, MPA, is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in nonprofit organizations and philanthropy. Currently serving as Senior Communications Officer at The James Irvine Foundation, Luisa manages communications campaigns focused on enhancing economic security and workforce power for low-wage Californians. As Founder and CEO of The Word Mill, Luisa provides communication and grant writing services to mission-driven organizations. Previous roles include Communications Manager at Tipping Point Community, where Luisa developed communications strategies to reduce poverty in the Bay Area, and Communications Analyst at YMCA of San Diego County, overseeing impactful grant initiatives.
