Victor Garcia is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in higher education, nonprofit management, and philanthropy. Currently serving as a Program Officer at The James Irvine Foundation since March 2022, Victor previously held key roles, including Director of the California Campus Catalyst Fund at Immigrants Rising and Coordinator of the BEST Center at Peralta Community College District. Victor's consulting work involved advising various organizations, such as the Oregon Community Foundation, on strategic planning and program development. Academic credentials include an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Southern California, an MPA from California State University, Long Beach, and a BA in History from the University of California, Santa Cruz, complemented by an AA in History from Porterville College.

The Foundation ended 2022 with $3.2 billion in assets and provided $187.3 million in grants.
