Mike Hemlepp is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in litigation and general counsel roles. Currently serving as Senior Attorney - General Counsel for the City of Columbia SC since January 2015, Mike also holds the position of Senior Litigation Counsel at The Jeffcoat Firm since May 2019. Prior experience includes Senior Lawyer - Litigation in private practice from 2012 to 2015, and Executive Director of the South Carolina Association of Justice from March 2007 to October 2012. Earlier in the career, Mike worked as Senior Assistant Solicitor - Litigator for the Sixth Judicial Circuit of South Carolina from March 1992 to March 2004. Mike earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of South Carolina between 1988 and 1991 and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Government from The Citadel from 1984 to 1988.
