Michelle Scalera

Chief Conservator at The Ringling

Michelle Scalera serves as the Chief Conservator at The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, a position held since September 1981, where responsibilities include conservation for exhibitions, outgoing art loans, and annual conservation of bronze sculptures. Prior experience includes a conservator role at the North Carolina Museum of Art. Michelle holds a Master of Arts in Art History, Conservation, and Museum Studies from Universita' Internazionale dell'Arte and a Bachelor of Arts in Museum Studies, Art History, and Painting/Drawing and Ceramic art creations from Kean University. Additionally, Michelle contributes to education through presentations for interns and collaboration with the Interior Design team.
