Kerstin Vignard

Kerstin Vignard is a Senior Analyst at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, focusing on multilateral normative frameworks for addressing ethical, legal, and social aspects of emerging military technologies since October 2021. Concurrently, Vignard serves as a Research Scholar in Science Diplomacy and Tech Policy at the JHU Institute for Assured Autonomy and holds the position of Senior Fellow (non-resident) at the UN Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR). Vignard's previous roles at UNIDIR include Deputy Director and Chief of Operations from March 2012 to July 2021, as well as Chief of Projects and Publications and Editor in Chief for both the Disarmament Forum and UNIDIR NewsLetter during a tenure that began in 1997. Vignard's academic credentials include a Master of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from Syracuse University's Maxwell School and a Bachelor of Arts in the same field from Hamline University.
