Kirsty O'rourke

Kirsty O'Rourke is a skilled professional with a diverse background in public engagement, social media management, and historical research. Currently serving as the Social Media Manager at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation since February 2024, Kirsty previously worked as a Public Engagement Assistant at the History Of Parliament Trust and as a Freelance Podcast contributor with Wessex Museums. Experience also includes transcribing historical documents for Zooniverse, tutoring at Explore Learning, and serving as a Public History Student Ambassador and Research Facilitator at the University of York. Kirsty holds a Master of Arts in Public History from the University of York and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Chester, where additional roles included Digital Ambassador for the History Department and student library support.
