Valentina Montes is an experienced professional in social work and education, currently serving as the College, Career, and External High School Partnerships Coordinator and Multilingual Learner Instructional Assistant at Matchbook Learning since January 2022. Valentina has also held several roles at The Julian Center, including Triage and Intake Advocate and Specialist, since May 2020. Previous experiences include a Development Assistant position at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis and an Education Intern at Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky. Valentina started their career as a Program Intern and Customer Relations Specialist at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Indiana University Indianapolis, along with an Associate's degree in General Studies and a secondary Associate's degree from Vincennes University.

The Julian Center provides safe shelter, transitional housing, permanent housing, counseling, outreach and education to victims of domestic violence and their children in Central Indiana. Our vision is to permanently end the cycle of domestic violence for the families whom we serve.
