Tangela (Tangie) Gray has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Tangela (Tangie) started their career in 2002 as the Executive Director & Administrator at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, where they worked for eight years. In 2008, they joined Embassy International Chamber of Commerce as an Events Coordinator, a role they held until 2010. In the same year, Tangie also began working at Georgia-Pacific LLC as a Data Analyst, a position they held until 2012. During this time, they also worked as a Data Analyst at Encadria, where they provided support to executive-level staff and managed correspondence and communications. In 2011, they worked in Sales at Talking Stones before joining The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change (The King Center) in 2012. At The King Center, Tangie served as a Project Specialist & Guest Services Representative, managing guest services and maximizing profitability. Tangela (Tangie) continues to work at The King Center in the role of Guest Services. Throughout their career, Tangie has demonstrated reliability, self-motivation, and exceptional communication skills.
Tangela (Tangie) Gray's education history includes attending the University of Denver, where they studied Business Administration. Tangela (Tangie) also attended Jane Addams Vocational school, where they pursued a field of study in Cosmetology/Cosmetologist, General. In addition to their formal education, Tangie has obtained a certification in Project Management from Sophia Learning in October 2021.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change is a 501c3 organization established in 1968 by Mrs. Coretta Scott King. The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change “The King Center” is the official living memorial and programmatic nonprofit organization committed to educating the world on the life, legacy and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The King Center serves to inspire new generations to carry forward his unfinished work, strengthen causes and empower change-makers who are continuing his efforts today. The King Center’s premiere educational initiative, Nonviolence365, is based on Dr. King’s nonviolent philosophy and engages participants from various sectors of society, including emerging and next generation leaders, in modules and exercises that enhance communication, leadership, interpersonal and conflict reconciliation skills.
