Satinder Nisa Kaur

Satinder Nisa Kaur is an experienced Collections Manager at The King's Foundation since April 2018, where responsibilities include curatorial and visitor services. Prior experience includes a role as a Digitisation Volunteer for West Dumbartonshire Council, contributing to the Stitch in Time Project, and a Visitor Services Assistant position at Dean Castle and Country Park. Satinder has volunteered at various institutions, including the Museum of Rural Life, the Scottish Jewish Archives Centre, and Culzean Castle and Country House, where skills in collections care and cataloging were developed. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Museology/Museum Studies from the University of Glasgow, a Certificate in Preventative Conservation from West Dean College, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Strathclyde. A notable experience includes attending a Summer Academy at Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp, which deepened understanding of ethical practices in museum collections.
