Simon Herzog

Simon Herzog is a Senior Data Engineer at The Knot Worldwide since November 2024, with a strong background as a Mathematics and Physics tutor since June 2015. Previously, Simon held the position of Senior Analytics Engineer at Wallbox Chargers from May 2021 to November 2024, where a strong focus was placed on cost reduction and optimizing end-to-end data pipelines, including the development of a dbt macro suite for integrating external delta tables into Snowflake. Simon also served as a Data Analyst at Hotelbeds from February 2019 to May 2021, addressing optimization challenges within the company's markup policy using Machine Learning algorithms. Simon holds a Master's degree in Particle Physics, Cosmology, and Gravitation from Universitat de Barcelona and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Universitat de les Illes Balears.
