Alejandra Hernandez

Alejandra Hernandez is an experienced environmental professional currently serving as an Associate Program Officer at The Kresge Foundation since July 2021. Previously, Alejandra held various roles, including Conservation Policy Associate at Michael Fields Agricultural Institute and Social Media Producer at Yale Program on Climate Change Communication. Alejandra also worked as a Teaching Fellow in Conservation Biology at Yale University and served as an Urban Resilience Intern at Instituto Municipal de Planeación de Mérida. Early career experiences include roles as GreenSkills Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, an Environmental Projects Coordinator with Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers, and an AmeriCorps Member focused on sustainable development. Alejandra earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from The University of Dallas and a Master’s degree from Yale School of the Environment.
