Angelina Esparza is an experienced public health leader currently serving as a Senior Advisor at The Kresge Foundation and Principal at Navigating Health. Previously, as Associate Vice President at the CDC Foundation, Angelina focused on jurisdictional support and health equity. Angelina held the role of Chief Program Officer at the Houston Health Department, where strategic decision-making aimed to advance health equity and eliminate health disparities. Academy involvement includes teaching as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Houston in the College of Education. Earlier roles include Vice President of Health Equity and Director of the ACS Patient Navigator Program at the American Cancer Society, and Program Director for Community Relations at the Center for Research on Minority Health. Angelina's educational background includes a Master of Public Health from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UTHealth Houston.
