Douglas Porter

Douglas Porter has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Douglas most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer at The Lake Doctors, starting in 2022. Prior to that, from 2022 to 2022, they worked as the CFO/Controller at US Mobile Health Exams, where they were responsible for preparing financial statements, designing financial models, and managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

From 2015 to 2022, they held the position of Assistant Controller at Bridgestone HosePower. In this role, they maintained various subledgers, assisted in developing accounting policies and procedures, established internal controls, and managed day-to-day accounting transactions. Douglas also recommended and developed reports and management dashboards to provide insight into accounting operations.

Between 2009 and 2017, they held the position of President, Director, and Coach at the North Florida Basketball Academy, a non-profit organization focused on promoting and advancing youth basketball. Douglas emphasized individual skill development and team concepts during their tenure.

From 2010 to 2015, they worked as the District Accounting Director at Tolomato CDD (Nocatee). Prior to that, from 2008 to 2010, they served as the Controller at Atlantic Coast Developers. From 2006 to 2008, they were an Accounting and Finance Manager at Accretive Solutions.

Furthermore, they worked as a teacher and basketball coach at Fleming Island High School within the School District of Clay County from 2004 to 2006. Douglas began their professional career as a Property Accountant at Regency Centers from 2002 to 2004.

Douglas Porter attended Jacksonville University from 1994 to 1996, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. Following that, from 1996 to 1999, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting at the University of North Florida - College of Business Administration.
