Laura Woody CPCC, LCSW is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in coaching, consulting, and social work. As the Owner and Founder of Connections Coaching & Consulting LLC, established in December 2022, Laura provides life and leadership coaching, consulting for nonprofit organizations, and social work supervision in Virginia. Additionally, Laura serves as a Consultant and Interim Director of Case Management at The Lamb Center, focusing on policy formation and support for individuals experiencing homelessness. With a background as the Chief Program Officer at Shelter House, Inc. and other leadership roles, Laura has honed expertise in program management and services. Academically, Laura earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Bethel University.

The Lamb Center

The Lamb Center is a daytime drop-in resource center for individuals who are experiencing homelessness in Fairfax, Virginia. We provide breakfast, lunch, showers, laundry service, Bible studies, case management, employment opportunities, housing and job counseling, AA meetings, small group opportunities, nurse practitioner services, a dental clinic, and much more. As a Christian ecumenical community of faith, the Lamb Center works on behalf of all people experiencing poverty or homelessness regardless of race, religion, creed, or any other status. The core values of Christianity are central to the Lamb Center's ministry: loving God with all one’s heart, soul, mind, and strength; and loving one’s neighbors as oneself. Together, our staff, Board of Directors, volunteers, and supporters provide a community of fellowship, support, empowerment, and learning together that grows ever stronger in relationship with our guests.
