Kate McIntosh

Kate McIntosh is a seasoned editor with extensive experience in scientific publishing. Currently serving as the Deputy Editor and Senior Editor at The Lancet Global Health since March 2017, Kate McIntosh is responsible for assessing and selecting articles for peer review, managing the editorial process, and ensuring timely publication. Prior to this role, Kate worked as a Senior Assistant Editor, where responsibilities included preparing post-acceptance manuscripts for publication. Earlier career experience includes a position as a Scientific Editor at Spandidos Publications, focusing on copy-editing and proofreading scientific articles. Kate McIntosh holds a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Exeter, and previously completed a Bachelor's Degree in Biology with Professional Placement at the University of Bath.
