Brandon Schlautman

Lead Scientist, Perennial Legumes at The Land Institute

Brandon Schlautman is a co-founder of Sustain-A-Grain since May 2018 and serves as the lead scientist for perennial legumes at The Land Institute since September 2016. Prior to these roles, Brandon worked as a graduate research assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from January 2013 to August 2016 and briefly as a lab technician at Neogen Corporation in April 2012. Brandon holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Agricultural and Horticultural Plant Breeding from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2013-2017) and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University (2008-2012).
