Tom Fothergill

Tom Fothergill serves as the Chief Operating Officer at The Law Society since November 2015. Prior to this role, Tom held the position of Director of Finance & Corporate Planning at the NHS Litigation Authority since September 1997. Tom has extensive experience in developing and implementing corporate strategies, maintaining financial management records, fostering positive relationships with key stakeholders, and leading projects and change initiatives. Additionally, Tom has a background in finance and accounting, with experience in producing financial statements, managing budgets, and overseeing finance teams. Tom is a qualified Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy professional with a BA (Hons) in Economics from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
