Samiya Abdi

Samiya Abdi is an experienced professional in public health and leadership, currently serving as a Responsible Leader at the BMW Foundation and a Global Fellow at The League of Intrapreneurs. As a Senior Program Specialist at Public Health Ontario since 2015, Samiya leads complex initiatives and delivers training to enhance public health competencies across Ontario. Previous roles include Director at Dalhousie University, Senior Analyst at University Health Network, and Senior Business Analyst at the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Samiya holds a Master's degree in Public Health and a Graduate Diploma in Social Innovation and Systems Thinking from the University of Waterloo, along with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Ryerson University.
