Barbara Ibinarriaga Soltero

Barbara Ibinarriaga Soltero is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in researcher development, education, and psychology. Currently serving as Programme Manager for Researcher Development at The Learned Society of Wales, Barbara leads initiatives aimed at fostering an environment that supports researchers in Wales. This role includes managing the Research Workshop Grant Scheme and organizing events to facilitate collaboration among researchers and the Society's Fellows. In addition, Barbara is involved with the Instituto de Psicología Contemplativa, teaching mindfulness from a social scientific perspective, and has held various research roles that emphasize mindfulness and its applications. Academic credentials include a PhD in Social Sciences from Cardiff University, alongside a Master's degree in Social Science Research Methods and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Further training includes a Diploma Course in Mindfulness-based Professional Training.
