Helen Willson

Helen Willson serves as the Head of Equity and Engagement at the Learned Society of Wales, focusing on integrating equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) within the organization while enhancing engagement with Fellows. Previously, Helen held various roles at the National Trust, including Community and Participation Lead, where responsibilities included developing organization-wide community engagement strategies, and People Business Partner for Volunteering and Community. Helen also contributed as a Volunteer and Community Participation Consultant, promoting best practices in volunteering and community partnerships. Earlier experience includes serving as the Principal Museums & Heritage Officer for Caerphilly County Borough Council, managing an award-winning Museums & Heritage Service, and assisting in the service's development and delivery. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Care of Collections from Cardiff University and a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology & Anthropology from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
